808 STUDIOS
BATTLE ARENAAFTERMOVIEProject Overview
After many successful collaborations, 808 Studios reached out to our producer and director Bishr, to document their highly anticipated event during Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). This event was a landmark for 808 Studios, as it marked the first-ever event organized by the brand itself. The event theme was heavily inspired by the iconic video game series Tekken, and the overall concept was to create a Battle Arena where the main act, OGUZ, would face off against other artists in musical „battles.“
Bishr was tasked not only with capturing the event on film but also with leading the media team and overseeing the production process.

808 Studios is a dynamic force in the music, fashion, and events industry. As a up and coming, young music label and creative hub, they are known for blending innovative fashion and music
experiences. With a strong reputation for pushing boundaries, 808 Studios has gained tremendous popularity over the course of it’s one and a half year existence.

Objectives
Event Documentation
Capture the essence of 808 Studios‘ first self-organized event, highlighting the unique Battle Arena concept.
Media Coordination
Manage a 10-person media team and ensure seamless production from start t o finish.
Creative Direction
Incorporate the Tekken-inspired theme and ensure that the overall aesthetic of the event aligned with the brand’s innovative image.
Post-Production Excellence
Use a mix of traditional film tools and Al technology to bring a unique visual style to the final product.
Challenges
808s Tekken-inspired Battle Arena concept was bold and ambitious. For me, it presented a new challenge to capture these innovative features while also ensuring the atmosphere conveyed the fierce, competitive nature of a Tekken-style battle.
Approach
Pre-Event Planning
Bishr worked closely with 808 Studios early in the process to ensure the infrastructure and logistics were in place. This was crucial for creating a smooth production environment on shooting day.
Media Team Leadership
The media team consisted of professionals from various backgrounds, including videographers, photographers, and drone operators, all working in sync to capture the essence of the event from different angles.
Filming & Event Coverage
Bishr ensured that every aspect of the event, from the performances to the unique event features, was captured with precision.
Cinematic techniques were used to emphasize the intense musical „battles“ while maintaining a documentary-style approach to showcase the atmosphere and attendees.
Post-Production & Al Integration
The post-production process involved the use of both traditional NLEs such as DaVinci Resolve, as well as Al-powered tools like KAIBER to create a vintage look reminiscent of Tekken’s 2nd and 3rd generation console graphics. This creative decision helped tie the visuals back to the game’s nostalgic aesthetic while giving it a modern twist.
